Healthier Communities Through Technology

In this session we explore how Kaiser Permanente, gymGO, New Beginnings Barbershops and Vanity the Salon, both located in West Baltimore, are using latest realtime technologies like two way video streaming, wearable data and gamification to create healthier communities through free online personal training, nutrition counseling, and peer support. Creating healthier communities is a critical part of KP's Total Health efforts throughout Baltimore with a special focus on zip code 21223 where residents experience the shortest life expectancy and poorest health indicators in the entire city and state.
